This picture reminds me of the reasons I love running and don't mind a football spectator all at the same time. 

The rain. The mud. The hard knocks.

I've been down in the Deep South this weekend visiting the Mobile (AL) Challenge of Champions as well as some North Florida high schools. Football rules this area but there is still a strong passion for cross country. The air may be saturated with humidity and hotter than an episode of The Girls Next Door but the kids still get out there and kick some butt.

Keep working hard guys, those NXN regional meets are drawing nearer.
