Even though he broke the American record with his debut performance in the 10,000 meters at the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational at Stanford last Saturday night, Chris Solinsky is adamant that the 5,000 remains his focus.

“I’m still really a 5K guy,” Solinsky told the media after his stunning victory in a time of 26 minutes, 59.60 seconds. “I’m just dabbling with this at the moment.
