LIKE MOST mums, her face brightens into a smile when she talks about her children, but as the mother of the fastest man on the planet Jennifer Bolt has even more reason to beam with pride.

She's watched from countless track sides as her son Usain, who just celebrated his 23rd birthday, has grown from being the fastest boy in his primary school to a triple Olympic and world champion.

"He may be a world record breaker, but to me he's still my little boy," laughs 47-year-old Jennifer.

She has been visiting family in Britain since leaving Berlin, where Usain recently shattered his 100 and 200-metre world records at the Berlin World Athletics Championships.

"We always make sure we talk before every race - I insist on that," adds Jennifer, who has been staying in Wolverhampton, in the West Midlands, with her cousin, Maureen Davis.

"I am usually more nervous than he is, but I'm getting better, the more races I see.
