US teen star Berry given three-month marijuana ban

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (AFP) – Michael Berry, a teen track star who anchored a US 4x400m relay victory at the World Junior Championships last month, received a ban Thursday after testing positive for marijuana.

The 18-year-old from Seattle, who has signed to attend US collegiate track powerhouse Oregon, accepted a three-month ban starting August 12, the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) said.
