Shelby Greany and Julian Matthews Compete In NCAA Track & Field Championship

Greany qualifies for 3,000 meter steeplechase final; Matthews places ninth in 1,500 meter preliminaries.

EUGENE, Ore. - Providence College freshman Shelby Greany (Suffern, N.Y.) and sophomoreJulian Matthews (Nelson, New Zealand) competed in the NCAA Track and Field Championship on Thursday, June 10 in Eugene, Ore.

Greany ran in the preliminaries of the 3,000 meter steeplechase and recorded a time of 10:04.88, the fifth fastest time in the preliminaries. It also marked Greany's personal best time. Greany qualified for the final which will take place on Saturday, June 12 at 1:54 p.m. EST.
