The spectacle that is the Illinois State Meet is one of the greatest events I have ever been to. 

You read that correctly.

The passion on display at Detweiller is on par with the NCAA XC Meet, The Olympics, and of course, Southern College Football. Perhaps partially losing partial hearing for the afternoon after listening to thousands of Dutch sing in an underpass is the only reason The World Cup can top the feeling you get at Detweiler on an early November morning.

I have to say that I don't feel compassion for you kids that were desperately trying to acquire a York beanie. Thanks for giving me one guys!
