Published by Jul 28th 2016, 10:32am
Our third stop for Season 2 of Hoka One One Top Trails is Bellingham, WA. Bellingham sits in the far northwest corner of Washington State and provides outdoor opportunities in the San Juan Islands and North Cascade mountain range. Hoka ultra-runner Jeremy Wolf takes us on a run from his back door along the Interurban Trail into the Chuckanut Mountains and up to Fragrance Lake.
Host, Matt Barnhart visits Fairhaven Runners to talk to local trails expert Polly Favinger about Bellingham’s running community and some of the city’s network of trails including the South Bay trail, which connects towns and trails along the Bellingham Bay waterfront. Later, Barnhart and co-host Ian Terpin meet Dan Probst (President, Cascade Mt. Runners) at Kulshan Brewing Co. to talk about Dan’s project re-creating the historic 108-mile ultra run from Bellingham Bay to the top of the 10,781 ft. Mt. Baker and back.
