With athletes like Mark Matusak, David Torrence, and Elias Gedyon having come from this program, Coach Lalo Diaz discusses some of his methods in continuing to produce top level individuals and teams - 2010 became the fourth year in a row Loyola's boys appeared at Nike Cross Nationals.  "Nothing comes without sacrifice" is just one of Coach Diaz's long list of philosophies he has developed over since starting his coaching career there in 1987.  He discusses coaching in Los Angeles, mutual respect between coach and athlete, and how he structures the season around the State meet.
