Haile walks with Johnnie Walker

World renowned athlete Haile Gebreselassie signed a USD 100,000 advertisement agreement with the Johnnie Walker, the most widely distributed brand of Scotch whiskey, becoming the first African to advertise the product.

At a ceremony held Thursday at the Sheraton Addis, Lalibela Grand Ballroom, Haile and Johnnie Walker announced that Diageo, the manufacturer and owner of the brand, had officially launched a global advertisement campaign featuring Haile Gebreselasie.
